Espree fur care series are Aloe vera-based products with natural ingredients that are organic and kind to the environment. Here are some bathing tips for how to best succeed with the fur care of your dog or cat.<\/p>\n
To succeed with the bath and get the desired result in your dog’s or cat’s fur is a bit of a work of art. It usually takes a few baths before discovering which dilutions, temperatures and types of shampoo produce the perfect fur. If you just want to get a clean dog or cat, you should choose one of the shampoo types under the heading “Classic Care” or “Scent Renewal” from the Espree brochure.<\/p>\n
Regardless of your goal with the bath, always start by brushing the fur of your dog or cat before the bath, so that the fur is completely free of tanglesAnv\u00e4nd g\u00e4rna utredningskr\u00e4men De-mat Detangler s\u00e5 sliter det mindre p\u00e5 p\u00e4lsen. Feel free to use the investigational cream De-mat Detangler so it wears less on the fur. An unbrushed fur with a lot of underwool becomes almost impossible to untangle if the tangles get wet. Make sure the animal is as comfortable as possible in the bath, some kind of non-slip mat makes the dog and cat feel safer and your calm manner makes the animal safer.<\/p>\n
Then it was time to start soaking the fur and if there is a lot of fur, you have to lift the upper layers so that you can access all the way into the skin. Espree’s shampoo products are all so-called deep cleaning (except Two-In-One and Puppy & Kitten) and therefore it is smart to shampoo your dog or cat twice in the same bath. The first shampooing opens up the “flare” of the hair shaft and the second cleans in depth from dirt and grease. Rinse the fur between shampoos and use conditioner on all types of fur, even short-haired. The conditioner closes the fur of the straw and “impregnates” the fur and prevents dirt and particles from penetrating into the skin or fur. You find that the dog or cat stays clean longer and is more dirt-repellent in bad weather. Follow the dilution instructions for an effective and easy bath. Using Espree’s dilution bottle or some kind of plastic bottle, pour in shampoo or conditioner and add the amount of water as recommended and shake the mixture well. Then use a sponge or pour the mixture over the dog or cat.<\/p>\n
Massage it in and then rinse thoroughly and repeat as needed. Remember to massage gently into the fur and skin – do not rub, this can damage the hair. The final rinse is complete when the rinse water from the fur is completely free of shampoo and conditioner residues and the rinse water is clear without traces of foam. It can take up to 20 minutes if the coat is long or rich in undercoat.<\/p>\n
If you use undiluted shampoo or conditioner, you can expect the rinsing time to double and if you haven’t rinsed all the residue out of the fur, you will find that the fur is “flaky” when it dries. Then just put the animal in the bath again and repeat the rinsing.<\/p>\n
When you mix shampoo and water, the mixture lasts up to three days. With different dilution concentrations and temperatures, you can achieve different results – if you dilute less than recommended in combination with cooler rinsing water, you get a fur that lies a little heavier in place. If you want a lot of volume and an airy fur, it is better to dilute more than recommended and use as warm water as possible.<\/p>\n
If, for example, you want to both deepen a red shade in the fur, while at the same time you want extreme shine, it is excellent to combine different products in the same bath. For example, you bathe with Color Enhancing in the first shampooing and Silky Show in the second and finish with a suitable conditioner. A wet fur is best dried with a thick, washed terry towel that has good absorbency. Do not rub the fur dry, but squeeze out the water and then blow the fur dry, preferably with cool air so that the straw does not curl. Extra important with drying on a fur with a very dense undercoat.<\/p>\n
Avoid letting the dog dry in strong sunlight on a warm and windless day, as this creates a very favorable environment for moisture eczema. Brush or comb the fur while blowing it dry. Finish the coat care with that last touch – High Sheen Finish gloss spray makes the coat high-gloss, but don’t use too much – it will still have an effect.<\/p>\n
Sinces Espree’s products are mild and very moisturizing and with the right pH balance for the dog’s and cat’s skin, it is fine to bathe as often as needed.<\/p>\n
